The Web of Data Research Unit (WeD) is part of the Information Technology area of the Fondazione Bruno Kessler.
The Web of Data (or Web 3.0 or Semantic web) is the collective effort to augment the existing web with semistructured data, with the ultimate goal to enable automatic intelligent reuse of Web Data by agents and search engines.

The Wed Unit researches on:
• Standards and sustainable best practices for semistructured data exchange
• Algorithms and infrastructures for supporting large scale Web of Data Search and reuse
• Ways to enhance enterprise and personal applications to leverage Web of Data
